Mr. Jeff Strange
Aviation Director
Mr. Strange has over 30 years of aviation experience in both the military and civilian community, accumulating over 15,000 flight-hours. Initially, he pursued a career as an Officer in the U.S. Navy, flying the F-14 Tomcat, completing two six-month deployments while deployed on the USS John C. Stennis (CVN-74) and USS Eisenhower (CVN-69). Subsequently, he was hand-chosen for a select program as a U.S. Navy exchange pilot to fly the F-117A (Stealth Fighter) with the U.S. Air Force. During this tour, he flew multiple combat sorties in direct support of “Operation Iraqi Freedom.” Leaving active duty in 2006, Mr. Strange continued his USN reserve career flying both the DC-9 and Boeing 737 at NAS Oceana. Culminating in selection to serve as the Squadron’s Commanding Officer, he was personally responsible for leading over 230 personnel in the operation and maintenance of three Boeing 737 aircraft, providing short-notice world-wide logistics service to joint forces. Mr. Strange retired from the reserves in 2020, attaining the rank of Commander.
Mr. Strange has been employed as a Captain at Southwest Airlines since 2006, flying the Boeing 737. Additionally, he has been employed at GCA since January 2022 as the Aviation Department Director.
