Mrs. Laura Carver
Hello there! My name is Laura Carver and I am the Lower School art teacher with Preschool-5th grade. I studied art at Ferrum College for two years, but I received my bachelors degree in Child Development and Family Relations from East Carolina University. I have always had a passion and love for art and feel blessed to teach your little ones here at GCA! Watching them learn and grow from year to year is amazing and rewarding. Students are learning about the seven Elements of Art throughout the year and create works of art that represent one, two, or even all seven elements. I love focusing on the process of art as well as the end result. We are all artists! I look forward to getting to know each of your children each week and pray that they have a great year!
I hold on to most of the students' art because we have an Art Show in the Spring. Each student will have at least one art piece in the art show. It is a fun night to come out and see what the Lower and Upper School art classes have been working on all year.
