Vocal Performance
Choral Ambassadors is a course in which we offer our gifts to God through singing. Students will be taught to read music and will be given the opportunity to perform music in multiple languages. Students will build their critical and creative thinking skills as they collaborate with others to put together performances that honor the Lord.
"I will sing to the Lord all my life; I will sing praise to my God as long as I live." Psalm 104:33
Resonate 3:16, GCA's first ever a cappella ensemble, was started in 2024. It is a 9th-12th grade audition only 8–14-person ensemble which focuses on contemporary, pop, musical theatre, and Christian a cappella arrangements. Students who are a part of this group perform in both the Christmas and spring concerts and may have a few off-campus performance opportunities as well.
The name Resonate 3:16 comes from two major ideas. 1) We want our songs to "resonate" with those who hear them, and 2) as Colossians 3:16 states, our goal is to "Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly, teaching and admonishing one another in all wisdom, singing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, with thankfulness in your hearts to God."
Piano Lab coming soon!
Individual and group piano instruction offered to JRC and Collegiate students. It focuses on music theory, technique, and performance skills as a soloist as well as part of an ensemble. Students will be introduced to a variety of musical styles while having a strong classical foundation.
