Competitive Cheer 2023-24

The GCA cheer teams had amazing performances this past weekend at the FCC Nationals Competition in Orlando, Florida. All four cheer teams, consisting of 63 girls, left it all on the mat as they represented GCA with top notch performances both Friday and Saturday.

Each team persevered and overcame injuries, exhaustion, sickness, and stunt mishaps to give their best with the hopes of earning a National Championship title.  With the support of dedicated cheer parents and an army of Gator dads, these girls hit the mat with confidence and represented GCA well.

Here are the highlights from the weekend:

Blue Team- 6th place after losing a girl to an injury prior to Christmas break.  While the outcome wasn't what they had hoped for, their team unity and positivity outshined their scores.

Silver team-2nd place and Best Stunts and Pyramids in their division

JV-1st place, Grand Champion, Hit Zero, Best Stunts and Pyramids in their division and Best Jumps and Tumbling in their division.
