Hello, I attended GCA for 2nd, 3rd & 4th grade, with 2nd & 3rd grades being in the old BBN location, and my 4th grade year was GCA's first year in the first part of what was then the new building.  So it was quite a while back :)  I was remembering those years today while talking with my own daughter, and decided to look GCA up on the internet.  I am delighted to find it is still a growing, thriving school!  GCA holds a lot of fond memories for me during those early years of my education, and is the type of school I would love to send my girls to if we lived in that area still (we live in the Dallas, TX area now.)  Anyway, I just wanted to send a message to say thank you for those years, I'll always treasure them!

Rebekah C.

Mr. White,

I am not sure if you remember my family and I, but my children started attending GCA in 2004 and left this year only because of our military move. We are in another Christian school in another state. I have four children, with my oldest being in second grade this year. Prior to our move here, we have only attended GCA and were EXTREMELY happy with the Christian values and education that our children were getting.

My daughter is in P4 this year. Last year I was searching for a job and stressing because it was August and I hadn’t heard back from any jobs, and I knew all preschools were filling up. I finally heard from a job in September, and I looked for preschools in Norfolk near my work but everything was full. I was praying for God to open the right school for my daughter, and a friend of mine from church said her son attended GCA preschool and she loved it. I knew about GCA because my old roommate, Tracy Cox, was a Spanish teacher there in 2002, but I had no idea it also had a preschool. I went late September and there were places available for P3!!

I can not begin to express the gratitude our family has for the Early Childhood program.  From day one Mrs. Dykes has had an opened door policy where we could talk with her at anytime and she always has a smile on her face. This is my son's second year in the program and he has grown by leaps and bounds mentally and spiritually.  He began half way through the year in the P3 program and Mrs. Jessee and Mrs. Leader worked diligently with him to catch him up to the rest of the class.  During his time in extended care he met Mrs. Sims.  Then we were so blessed to find out she would be his P4 teacher this school year. The love she shows for my son and the other children is incredible.  She has been such a blessing to our family and such a special person to our son.  She is going to be someone he will remember for the rest of his life.  It brings such joy to my heart when he comes home and rattles off Bible versus and is grinning from ear to ear knowing he is serving the Lord.

Commit your way to the Lord and He will direct your path. After homeschooling for 18years, we had concerns putting our son in school.  We are to trust the Lord in all our ways which includes our children. It did not take many days for it to be revealed God working in our lives as well as our son. We are so very grateful for the bible teachings of Mr. Wright. It has given our son many thoughts to ponder, not just theology but applying that theology to practical, personal use, for Christ becomes more real to those who persist in cultivating His presence.

How do I begin to describe what GCA means to me?  The first thing that I share with people when I talk about GCA is that "they partner with you to raise your children".  As a single mother - this has meant the world to me, to know that Godly men and women are working with me, to lead my daughters to Jesus; to help develop a passion for walking with Him; and to nurture a love for serving Him.

We have been at GCA going on 4 years and I am very excited to have an opportunity to say thank you to Mrs. Sandy Till. She has a huge blessing for my children! She not only helps them stay on track at school but has also taken a personal interest in their emotional and spiritual well being.

I almost don't even know where to begin without writing a novel about how our children's hearts have grown, biblical principles becoming ingrained into their daily walk, and our family finding new and like-minded families at GCA. We have a seventh grade daughter and a fourth grade son at GCA. We moved to the area from Maryland last summer and after an in-depth research and investment into the Christian schools Hampton Roads has to offer, we agreed whole-heartedly that GCA was the place for us.
