GCA State of the Academy Address
If you missed this year’s State of the Academy address, here are some highlights from the evening. After enjoying a time of food and fellowship, parents saw how their investment in Christian education was making an impact here in the Tidewater area as well as around the world. Through giving of their time and talents, flower beds were mulched, nursing homes were painted, food was collected and distributed, and students participated in countless other opportunities to put their faith in action. Academically, there has been an increase in the number of students taking AP courses, an accelerated track in mathematics in the Lower and Middle School has been adopted, and planning continues to increase the academic rigor of the academy through training and integration of technology in the classroom.

GCA Family: Please Read!
I want to share with you a very special blessing that the Academy received during our Christmas break. I am very overwhelmed but thankful for God’s provision to our school.
The Academy received a special donation from some of our former alumni in the amount of $300,000.00 and an additional $50,000.00 matching grant for our technology campaign if we complete our goal. Three hundred thousand dollars was divided between a teacher endowment fund, prospective scholarship assistance to Cedarville University bound students and prospective students applying to Word of Life Bible College, and scholarship funds for needy students wanting to attend Greenbrier Christian Academy.
Message From The Superintendent
Welcome to the website of Greenbrier Christian Academy. It has been my privilege to be part of the Academy from its beginning in 1983. It has been an exciting adventure every step of the way to watch God bring together a multitude of students, families, faculty and administration and blend them together to create a Christ honoring institution. The Academy has established a solid reputation in the community as a school that directs its students to faith in Jesus Christ as the cornerstone of their educational experience. Students are challenged academically through core, AP and dual credit classes, socially through the various campus activities that are held each week, and physically through a full athletic program provided for both boys and girls in all age groups. Students are also provided many opportunities to exhibit their talents through the various fine arts and extracurricular events provided by the Academy staff.
It is my hope that as you browse through our site that you will be able to sense the attitude of the GCA family. Twenty six years have come and gone since those early days of meeting in rented facilities, borrowed athletic venues, and used furniture and books. God has been so good to supply GCA with beautiful facilities for academic, social and athletic settings. We offer praise daily to our Lord for His wonderful provision for our school throughout the years.

Pray and support Greenbrier Christian Academy as we continue to move forward with the mandate of Christian Education for Hampton Roads.
