The Gators had the ball on the PCS 29 yard line with 8:01 to play in the half. In just a few short plays they had brought the score to within 2 points 24-28 after a touchdown and 2-point conversion.
In the 2nd half the Gator defense got stronger and stronger, especially after the offense scored another touchdown to go ahead 28-24 (missed conversion attempt). Twice, including the final minute of the game, the Gators held the Patriots at the goal-line on 4 straight downs. The game ended when the TJ Reynard, Josh Miller and Travis Dykes sacked the Patriots' quarterback--Miller punched the ball loose for a fumble, and Dykes recovered it for the Gators with 39 seconds remaining!
