Purpose Statement
Mathematics instruction at Greenbrier Christian Academy seeks to provide a Christ-centered education using God’s Word as the foundation to develop the whole child: heart, mind, and soul. Greenbrier Christian Academy’s mathematics instructors strive to implement a holistic teaching approach for mathematics education as defined by Deuteronomy 6:5-6. Recognizing and believing the truths of God’s principles of order, sequence, patterns, and relationships will enable the students to efficiently analyze, accurately interpret, and effectively integrate math into their daily lives. By using God’s mathematical design, students are encouraged to think independently, critically and logically, to make sound decisions, and to excel academically, technologically, and spiritually. Students at Greenbrier Christian Academy will better understand who God is, through mathematics instruction.
