Purpose Statement

The purpose of Foreign Language Instruction at Greenbrier Christian Academy is to develop a competency in second language acquisition that will prepare students to live in today’s society of mixed cultures and to be able to communicate in the International arena. The students will be challenged to expand their worldview to include cultures other than their own, recognizing that we are called to make disciples of all nations. This will enable students to develop an appreciation for those cultures, and a burden to be ambassadors of Christ’s love to all nations realizing that second language acquisition is a vital tool in fulfilling the Great Commission.
