"Just Another Jeans Day"
On February 3, 2012 Missionary Allison Hale shared the following words in upper school chapel. You may view the video or just read her message below: I just wanted to say, Greetings from the Palms Christian School in the Dominican Rupublic! I've been here (at GCA) for two weeks just really enjoying the atmosphere, the school atmosphere. But I wanted to tell you guys about the school in the Dominican.
We started in 2009 with 39 students from K3 to 4th grade. The next year it jumped up to 92 students going up to 5th grade. And this past year we jumped up again from 92 students to 214 students! It is an exciting ministry to be a part of.
But, I can tell you two different jeans days that you guys had almost really saved the school.
Senior Trip 2012 Updates
Saturday
Great weather once again for traveling! Praise the Lord for sunshine and no rain!! Everyone is safely home with their families after a wonderful Senior Trip. Thank you for all who prayed for safety throughout the week. God is so good...
GCA Choir Tour - Disney 2011
The GCA choir arrived safely at the Walt Disney World Resorts in Orlando, Florida around 7:45pm on Monday, December 19 after an early morning departure from the GCA parking lot. Thank you to all who prayed for us! Dr. White drove first half of the trip, and Mr. Kevin Hammond drove the rest of the way. Thank the Lord for the beautiful sunshine the whole way and smooth traffic until rush hour in Orlando, but nothing too bad. Thank you also to Mr. Frank Montgomery for all your work on the Gator bus...it ran like a champ all day!!!
Each of us on the trip is looking forward with great excitement to spending quality time with family and friends in the most "magical place in the world". But, we can't wait to hear our choir join in worshipping Jesus Christ right in the middle of this place on Wednesday night!!!
Our group will leave Disney World on Thursday evening to begin the return trip home. We will drive as far as Savannah, Georgia on Thursday night and spend the night in a hotel. Lord willing, we will return to GCA around dinner time on Friday evening the 23rd.

Not a Slow Start
Many times as we begin a new adventure in life we like to ease our way into it; however this is not the case as the new Activities Director at GCA. This year’s first activity started off by loading more than 230 students onto four buses at 9:00pm, heading to AMF in Western Branch, knowing all the while that we would not return until midnight. The 2011 “Back to School Bash” was a great success. The students, staff, and faculty were able to spend time with one another to help this school year begin as one big family. The Lord provided safety in travel, and GCA was able to be a testimony to those working the event at AMF that night.
