Bridge Chapel - May 10, 2017
Dr. Lea Anne Dickerson, a counselor with Eden Counseling, spoke to the Bridge Academy this week in their chapel service. After a quick overview of the theme for this year, Mrs. Dickerson dove into her topic of desiring the will of God. She began her message by using a memory activity in order to prove that humans cannot and do not remember or know as much as the mind of God. Next, Dr. Dickerson took the students on a journey of what a realistic life following the will of God looks like. She explained that life is not a straight line but is full of high peaks and low valleys. The one difference is that a life where God is at the center is able to remain stable throughout those highs and lows. Dr. Dickerson ended her message by offering a choice to the student body, “You can either choose your way, or God’s way.” It is only when a person fully understands the will of God, as well as who God actually is, that they can freely submit to God in Christ and rest in the truth that He is sovereign and is always working everything for their good and His glory!
