Beginnings Chapel - March 20, 2017

Mrs. Dykes continued the discussion of what being “established in the faith” means to the students of the Beginnings Academy this morning. As they checked puppet Diggs’ heart, they found a letter from Mrs. Sally (Diggs’ Sunday school teacher) full of encouragement. Next, Mrs. Dykes read a very special letter from the Apostle Paul that he wrote to the Christians in Corinth two thousand years ago. In Paul’s letter, he talked through the different gifts of the Spirit while also emphasizing the gift of love for all people. Referring to the truth that God has given all people gifts to be used for God, Mrs. Dykes asked the students, “What can you do right now for God?” Some of their answers included prayer, reading their Bible, obeying God, and teaching others about Him. Finally, one of the students came up and placed a Bible in Diggs’ heart and the students stood together and recited the chapel theme verse for this year.

Key Passages: 1 Corinthians 12-13, Colossians 2:6-7a
